Holy Toledo, that Wolf Sounds EXACTLY like my Akita/Alaskan Husky. That is how she always acts towards a person/human territorial intrustion, she bark-howls. Sometimes I wonder if she has a Wolf in her lineage, which wouldn't be too surprising since many Alaskan Huskies were created through Sibe/Wolf crosses.

THe pack I used to work with, would historically bark howl in response to the sightings of bears, bobcat, and horses. This pack in question was socialized towards humans, thus had little problem with them in vicinity. It makes sense that a non-socialized wolf would bark howl in response to human presence.

Yeah it sounds a lot like a malamute (which I'm not surprise because malamutes descended from both Timber and Arctic wolves). Though this is the first time I've seen a wolf bark more than five times. Wolves and growlers; they rarely bark and usually only does so once or twice.

that is not a wolf at all....wolves even if they're hybrids can not bark at all. they lose the ability to bark at a young age, usually around 6 or 7 months. your an idiot!

actually wolves do bark howl..this of course is only displayed an extreme state of fear and is rarely seen in captivity. The only account I know of is when an alpha male was terrified by a camera and barked. The rest of the pack was alerted and they all dashed to the other side of the enclosure and didn't come back for the rest of the day.

Not entirely true. ... ( 4 days ago by dkspartan1)
Not entirely true. It's just a short vocalization to warn the pack, It isn't really a "bark". They can't physically bark like a dog (repeatedly). Their voice boxes are built differently than dogs. A lot of it has to do with the thick lining in their throats that allow them to swallow bones. The older they get, the thicker the lining, which reduces their ability to bark. MrNeeks isn't entirely wrong.
